Characterized by the soft and embracing shape of the upholstered seats the Punto Armchair collection composes an iconic silhouette with honest and simple form based on timelessness and quality, rather than the trendy and extravagant. The range begins with two armchairs with soft and comfortable character, made for extended dinner seatings and long conversations.
I believe good design should not scream for attention, but capture it with character and emotions. The Punto Armchairs constitute a small family of upholstered chairs linked together with a humble and graphically simple shape, which allows them to be combined and multiplied to form a cohesive character and unified identity.
The basis of the concept is a round and soft backrest which gently sweeps around a padded seat, paired with a smooth and elegant leg base of solid wood. The combination symbolizes the heritage and craftsmanship of Vergés with refined wood working and tactile upholstery. The form is honest and easy to read, where proportions and details bring forward a warm aesthetic and unique and memorable character.
