Bulky Tea Set (2011)

Bulky has a colourful and expressive form with slightly over-sized details. It’s playful design is inspired by fairy tales and children’s story books where things and shapes were exaggerated and emphasized to fit a kid’s wild imagination. The set is made of procelain and consists of pot with tea filter, milk jug, cookie jar, sugar bowl and tea cups. It’s available in three colours; white, grey and bright yellow.

The idea for the range started with as a proposal for an electric water kettle in the shape of a tea pot. The power was transmitted through a charging station in the shape of a plate and the electric kettle was to be made of Melamine plastic, which has similar properties to porcelain. However, the electric water kettle is still only an idea concept and not in production.
