The Plume sofa set out to create a timeless piece of furniture with simple and humble expression, but unique and memorable character. This may be the greatest challenge for a designer, however it is this simple formula that is the foundation for classic and timeless design.
The form is reduced, refined and sculpted with attention to details and focus on proportions. The aim to achieve supreme comfort and to create a graphic form has been the backbone of the design approach. In addition, we have accentuated the clear and simple expression by adding refined stitching details and a unique set of legs in cast alumininum that merges organically with the upholstered body of the sofa.
Plume is constructed with an upholstered deck frame of plywood with elastic seat webbing. Armrests and back of plywood and polyether foam are upholstered and connected to the deck. The loose seat and back cushions are filled with feathers and down for highest possible comfort.
