From the Bay originates from a desire to make contemporary, unique furniture and design objects available for wide use. We combine 30 years of experience in product development and manufacturing with a passion for enduring materials and craftsmanship. Our work is to create dependable furniture, lighting and accessories for everyday use.
The initial range of lighting, furniture and objects, is designed and art directed by Jonas Wagell. We will select a group of young, innovative designers to extend our collection of simple products with strong presence.
From the Bay was founded in 2016 by an American expat based out of Taiwan. As early as in 2012 Jonas Wagell was inquired to design a few products to improve the company’s existing level of style. Later in 2015 – as a vision of a new brand was emerging – JWDA was commissioned to contribute with design and direction to create an independent collection primarily for the North American market.
